SHFT Fund Summary
The iClima Distributed Renewable Energy Transition Leaders ETF (SHFT) seeks to track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the iClima Distributed Renewable Energy Index (the “Index”). iClima’s renewable energy ETF will invest all, or substantially all, of its assets in the component securities that make up the Index.
Distributed energy generation encompasses the growing trend of decentralizing electrical supply services in favor of small, consumer-specific sources of power at or near where the electricity will be used. iClima’s renewable energy ETF follows a rules-based methodology that seeks to identify a global portfolio of publicly traded companies that provide products and services such as microturbines, wind turbines, solar cells, etc.
The Index includes companies from 7 areas: 1) distributed power sources; 2) distributed energy storage; 3) vehicle-to-grid and electrical vehicle charging; 4) virtual power plants; 5) microgrid and smart grids; 6) smart houses and building energy management; and 7) software and systems for distributed energy resources.
The Index is owned by iClima Earth Ltd. and calculated by Solactive AG. It is not possible to invest directly in an index. Learn more about the index here.
